Spring crocus is the largest
and most widely grown of the crocuses.
The cup-shaped flowers bloom in early spring in shades of white,
yellow, pink, and purple; they are often striped with contrasting
colors and are 3 to 4 inches tall.
The narrow, grass-like, 8-inch leaves have white stripes lengthwise.
