Atop curving stems, fragrant white star-like flowers bloom for two months, starting in late summer or early fall.

The flowers are about 4 inches wide and have red or brown throats. Plant them where you can enjoy their fragrance.

Care
Remove spent flowers to prolong bloom. In zones 6 and colder, dig up corms in fall and store between 60 and 70 degrees F. In Zone 7, mulch in winter.

Planting
Plant in full sun in deeply-loosened, well-drained, moist soil, in holes 4 to 6 inches deep spaced 6 inches apart.

Choose a site protected from wind. In Zone 7 and warmer, plant after the last frost. In Zone 6 and colder, plant indoors a month before the average date of the last frost.
