Can I omit the sugar in a
walnut pie crust recipe?
Q: Hello, I found a recipe for a walnut pie crust
online and it has sugar in it, and I am on a sugar free diet,
can I leave the sugar out of the recipe?
Thanks, Mari
A: Hi Mari, There should not problem omitting the
sugar in a pie crust, but you might try replacing the sugar with
a sweetener that can be used in baked goods such as Splenda for
baking.
