Fudge Topped Brownies

1 cup butter OR margarine, melted
2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
2/3 cup unsweetened baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup walnuts, chopped
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  1. Preheat oven to 350º F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, flour, unsweetened baking cocoa, baking powder, eggs, milk, and vanilla; beat well. Stir in chopped walnuts.
  3. Spread in a greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Bake for 40 minutes, or until the brownie pulls away from the sides of the pan.
  4. Meanwhile, melt semisweet chocolate chips with sweetened condensed milk and vanilla. Immediately spread over the hot brownies. Cool.

Makes 24 bars.
