Quick and Easy Fudge Brownies
- 4 (1-ounce) squares unsweetened baking chocolate, broken into pieces
3/4 cup butter
2 cups granulated sugar
3 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- Heat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan: set aside.
- Place chocolate and butter in large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at HIGH (100%) 1 1/2 to 2 minutes or until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth when stirred. Add sugar; stir with spoon until well blended. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Add flour and nuts, if desired; stir until well blended.
- Spread into prepared pan.
- Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out almost clean. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
- Cut into squares.
Makes 24 to 36 brownies.
