S'More Cookie Squares
- 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt- 1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup milk chocolate chips
1 cup marshmallow creme
- Heat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch square baking pan; set aside.
- In a small bowl, mix together the flour, graham cracker crumbs, baking powder and salt; set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; mixing well.
- Add the flour mixture to butter mixture, stirring just until blended.
- Press half of dough into prepared pan.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips over dough.
- Carefully spread marshmallow creme over chips.
- Scatter small amounts of remaining dough over marshmallow layer and carefully spread to cover surface.
- Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely. Cut into bars.
Makes 16 bars.
