Holiday Bread
- 4 large eggs
- 2 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2/3 cups vegetable oil
- 1 (16-ounce) can pumpkin
- 3 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- 2/3 cup milk
- 2/3 cup frozen cranberries
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- Mix sugar, oil, and pumpkin together in large bowl. Beat in eggs one at a time.
- In separate bowl, sift together flour, soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and cloves. Add to pumpkin mixture alternately with milk. Stir in cranberries and chocolate chips.
- Pour into 2 well-greased bread pans.
- Bake at 300°F for 1 1/4 hours. Cool before removing from pans.
Makes 2 loaves.
