Easiest version of the classic lasagna
dish.
Lasagna Pastitsio
- 1 (40-ounce) package STOUFFER'S®
Family Style Favorites Lasagna with Meat & Sauce
1/3 cup butter or margarine, divided use
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup dry white wine
3/4 cup (3 ounces) shredded Parmesan cheese
1 large egg
1/2 cup soft breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- THAW lasagna in refrigerator
for a maximum of 48 hours. Place lasagna on a baking sheet.
- MELT 3 tablespoons butter
in a heavy saucepan over medium heat; whisk in all-purpose flour
until smooth. Cook, whisking constantly, 1 minute. Gradually
whisk in milk and wine, and cook, whisking constantly, until
thickened. Stir in cheese. Cool slightly. Whisk in egg, and pour
over lasagna.
- MELT remaining butter;
stir in breadcrumbs and chopped fresh parsley. Sprinkle over
sauce mixture.
- BAKE at 350°F (175°C)
for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
