
Ortega salsa and chiles make a welcome
addition to hamburgers. Grill or pan-fry these tasty burger.
Top with lettuce and sliced tomatoes. Serve them with tortilla
chops and ice-cold tea.
Ortega Burgers
- 2 pounds lean ground beef
1 (16-ounce) jar ORTEGA Salsa - Thick & Chunky (Medium),
divided use
1 (7-ounce) can ORTEGA® Diced Green Chiles
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon salt
12 ounces Monterey Jack cheese, sliced
12 hamburger buns
- Combine beef, 3/4 cup
salsa, chiles and eggs in large bowl. Shape into 12 patties.
- Grill or broil on each
side until no longer pink in center. Top each burger with one
slice cheese. Serve on buns with additional salsa.
