Salisbury Steak

1 pound ground chuck
1/2 teaspoon taco seasoning
4 green onions
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1(10 3/4-ounce) can condensed mushroom soup
Salt and pepper to taste
  1. Press the ground chuck into two 1/2-pound patties, then sprinkle with taco seasoning, salt and pepper.
  2. Grill or fry until brown then place in a baking dish (editor's note: stove-top safe) and cover with diced green onions and shredded cheese.
  3. Mix soup with about a half can of water and pour mixture over patties; let simmer, covered, on low heat at least 20 minutes or until ready to serve. Very good.
