Honeysuckle White® Turkey breast marinated in a basil pesto and served with pesto.
Pesto Marinated Turkey Breast
- Marinade:
1 cup dry white wine
15 cloves garlic
3 cups fresh basil leaves
2 teaspoons black pepper
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese- 8 pound Honeysuckle White® Turkey Breast
- Mix together marinade ingredients (wine, garlic, basil and pepper)in food processor or blender. Set aside half of marinade. Place turkey breast in half of marinade and refrigerate overnight.
- Take turkey out of marinade. (Do not use marinade for basting.) Bake at 450° F for 15 minutes. Lower temperature to 325° F and bake for 3 hours, or until done when tested with a meat thermometer. (170° F internal temp.)
- Remove turkey breast and let it rest 10 minutes before slicing.
- Mix 1/2 cup parmesan cheese with remaining marinade and serve with turkey.
