Grilled Steak & Parmesan Salad

1 pound boneless beef sirloin steak, 1/2-inch thick
1 cup Italian salad dressing
1 (10-ounce) bag mixed salad greens
2 medium tomatoes, cut into wedges
1 medium yellow summer squash or zucchini, chopped
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  1. Place steak and 1/2 cup of the dressing in sealable plastic bag; seal bag. Marinate in refrigerator 30 minutes.
  2. Remove steak from marinade; discard marinade.
  3. Grill or broil steak 5 to 10 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
  4. Cut steak across the grain into thin slices.
  5. Toss greens with tomatoes, squash and remaining 1/2 cup dressing. Place on separate platter. Top with steak slices; sprinkle with cheese.

Makes 4 servings.

Variation: Prepare as directed, substituting 4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (1 pound) for the sirloin steak.
