What is the best frying pan?
Q: What is the best frying pan? Stainless,Carbon
Steel, cast iron or copper?
A: Bottom line, the best frying pan is the one a
cook is comfortable with and successful using. For everyday cooking
such as sauteing onions and peppers or frying foods like eggs,
pork chops or hamburgers, pans made from stainless steel-wrapped
aluminum and anodized aluminum are excellent choices.
A copper pan lined with stainless
steel is the best choice for delicate foods that require precision
timing such as thin cutlets, sea scallops or shrimp. The reason
for this is that copper heats up quickly but also loses heat
just as soon as the pan is removed from the heat source.
