I am looking for a thin icing
for cookies.
Q: Hi Hope, I am looking for a recipe for a thin white
icing which dries shiny and glazed looking for the tops of cookies.
Can you please help me? Thank you. Del
A: Hi Del, Here's my easy recipe for thin icing. Using
a pastry brush makes application of the icing as easy as it gets.
Thin Icing
2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
1/4 cup 2% milk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Food coloring (optional)
1. Stir together all ingredients until smooth and thin enough
to brush onto cookies using a pastry brush. If icing is too thick,
add small amounts of milk at a time until consistency works for
you. Tint with food coloring, as desired.
Makes about 2 cups.
Happy holidays and enjoy the
recipes,
