What is Frosting Sugar?
Q: I have a recipe for cake frosting that calls for"one
box of frosting sugar". Is this powdered sugar? Is there
a standard amount for a "box" of frosting sugar? I
have powdered sugar on hand but don't know the measurement of
a "box of frosting sugar". Thank you for your time!
A: Frosting sugar is powdered sugar, which is also
known as confectioners' sugar. The standard amount for a "box"
of frosting, powdered or confectioners' sugar is 1 pound (16 ounces)
or 4 cups.
