Florida Shrimp Cocktail

Recipe Ingredients:

1 (2-ounce) bag prepared shrimp boil
2 teaspoons salt
1 Florida onion, sliced
2 quarts water
1 Florida lemon, sliced
1 clove garlic, sliced
2 pounds large Florida shrimp, peeled, tails on

Cooking Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients, except shrimp, in a 4-quart sauce pan. Bring to a boil on high heat. Add shrimp and reduce heat to medium-high. Simmer 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until shrimp turn pink and opaque throughout. Do not overcook.
  2. Drain shrimp and cover with ice to chill. Serve in a martini glass or on a flat plate; garnish with parsley and lemon slices.
  3. Serve with favorite dipping sauce.

Makes 4 servings.
