Olive Parmesan Puffs

No recipe image available.A tasty olive and Parmesan cheese mixture is spread on slices of sourdough bread and baked until hot and puffy.

Recipe Ingredients:

1 cup chopped pitted black olives, drained
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 green onions, finely chopped
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 sourdough baguette, cut on slight diagonal into 1/2-inch thick slices

Cooking Directions:

  1. Preheat broiler. Stir olives, cheese mayonnaise and onions in small bowl to blend. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Mound 1 tablespoon olive mixture on each bread slice. Arrange on baking sheet.
  3. Broil until the topping is heated through and begins to brown, about 2 minutes. Serve hot.

Makes about 25 appetizers.
