Tamari and Spice Popcorn Mix

Tamari and Spice Popcorn MixTamari sauce is Japan's soy sauce, it is thicker than regular soy sauce and is simply combined with lemon juice to create a tantalizing—nonfat and sugar-free—glaze for this popcorn and almond snack mix.

Recipe Ingredients:

6 cups popped popcorn
1 cup sliced almonds
2 tablespoons Tamari or soy sauce
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon dried chives, optional
Small spray bottle

Cooking Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Line a 13x9x2-inch baking pan with foil and spread popcorn and almonds into pan.
  3. Fill small spray bottle with Tamari and lemon juice and spray popcorn mixture.
  4. Bake 10 minutes and sprinkle with chives just before serving.

Makes 7 (1 cup) servings.
