Speedy Little Devil Bars
Speedy and easy thanks to a package of devil's food cake mix, these yummy chocolate cookie bars have a sweet peanut butter and marshmallow filling and a chocolate crumb topping.
Recipe Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, chilled
1 (18.25-ounce) package devil's food cake mix
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1 (7-ounce) jar marshmallow creme
Cooking Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Using an electric mixer, mix butter into cake mix until pea-size crumbs form, about 3 minutes. Remove 1 1/2 cups and set aside. Spread remaining crumbs in the bottom of an ungreased 13x9x2-inch pan. Gently press crumbs into pan covering the entire surface.
- In a separate bowl, combine peanut butter and marshmallow creme; mix well.
- In small batches, spread peanut butter mixture over entire surface of crumbs. Top with reserved crumbs. Bake for 20 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
Makes 24 bars.
