If looking for a hearty meal to grill the whole family will love, look no further than beef kabobs with fresh vegetables to a family favorite.

Beef Kabobs

1 cup red wine
1/3 cup sherry
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon freshly grated ginger root
1 cup pineapple juice
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon rosemary
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 onion, chopped
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 1/2 pounds sirloin steak, diced
3 tomatoes, sliced
12 mushrooms
1 eggplant, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 yellow squash, diced
  1. In a bowl, combine red wine, sherry, soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger root, pineapple juice, thyme, rosemary, worcestershire sauce, chopped onion, pepper. Pour over diced sirloin steak. Marinate for 2 hours at room temperature. Alternate the beef on skewers with sliced tomatoes, mushrooms, diced eggplant, diced green bell pepper, and diced yellow squash. Grill 3-inches from the heat for about 15 minutes, turning frequently and basting with the marinade.

Makes 6 servings.
