Try this delicious and fun way to dress up a plain loaf of bread. It's an easy and quick alternative to standard garlic bread. This bread recipe can also be prepared on the grill over indirect heat.
Hot Cheese Bread
- 1 (11-ounce) package STOUFFER'S® Welsh Rarebit, defrosted according to package directions
1 (16-ounce) loaf Italian or French bread, unsliced
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Slice bread into 3/4-inch slices to within 1/4-inch of bottom crust. Be careful not to slice through the bottom of the crust.
- Spread welsh rarebit on both sides of each slice. Wrap loaf in foil, keeping top exposed.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until bread is browned and crispy.
Makes 24 servings.
