Pesto Bread
A white yeast bread with an Italian flair, made with ready-made basil pesto, pine nuts and white wine. A recipe for bread machines.
Recipe Ingredients:
1 large egg
1/4 cup dry white wine
1 clove garlic
3 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup basil pesto sauce
1/3 cup water
2 tablespoons water
3 cups bread flour
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 tablespoon salt
2 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1/2 cup pine nuts
Cooking Directions:
- Place all the ingredients except the pine nuts in the machine according to manufacturers directions.
- Set for sweet bread and press start. When the beeper sounds, add the pine nuts.
Makes 1 (1 1/2 pound) loaf.
