Double Wheat Waffles
- 2 large eggs
2 cups buttermilk
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup wheat germ
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup margarine or butter, melted
- Heat waffle iron. Beat eggs; beat in remaining
ingredients with rotary beater until smooth.
- Pour batter from cup or pitcher onto center
of hot waffle iron. Bake about 5 minutes or until steaming stops.
Remove waffle carefully.
Makes about 8 (7-inch) waffles
