This ham, egg and cheese casserole is so delicious and easy to make.Its been in our family for years and is sure to please any appetite! Submitted Jeannine from Coeur d'Alene, ID

Excellent Breakfast Casserole

12 slices bread
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided use
1/2 pound diced ham
4 large eggs
2 1/2 cups milk
3/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1 (10.75-ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  1. In a 13 x 9-inch casserole dish, layer 6 slices of bread, 1 cup of cheese, and half of the diced ham. Then layer the remaining bread, cheese and ham.
  2. In a small bowl, mix eggs, milk and mustard. Pour milk mixture all over casserole. Then pour on cream of mushroom soup.
  3. Let it refrigerate overnight, or at least 8 hours.
  4. Bake at 325°F (160°C) uncovered for 1 hour 15 minutes.

Makes 8 servings.
