Buckaroo Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup vegetable shortening
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon water
4 large eggs
5 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
2 cups chopped nuts, optional
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a bowl cream together sugar, brown sugar, butter, shortening, vanilla and water with an electric mixer on medium speed. Beat in eggs.
- Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Gradually add to sugar mixture. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts.
- Drop batter by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake until golden brown, 9 to 11 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
Makes 36 cookies.
