Chocolate drop cookies are subtly flavored with orange.

Chocolate Orange Tea Drops

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 (3-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 large egg
1 teaspoon grated orange peel
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (6-ounce) package NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Real Chocolate Morsels
  1. Heat oven to 350°F. Combine flour and salt in small bowl. Set aside.
  2. Combine sugar, butter, cream cheese, egg, orange peel and vanilla in small mixer bowl. Beat at medium speed until mixture is creamy (1 to 2 minutes). Reduce speed to low. Add flour mixture. Beat until well mixed (1 to 2 minutes). Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets.
  3. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes or until light golden brown. Let stand 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheet. Cool completely.

Makes 24 cookies.
