Mom's Shortbread Cookies
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
- Dash salt
- Mix all ingredients together until well
mixed. Divide mixture in half. Roll into two 1 1/2-inch diameter
rolls. Wrap in waxed paper or plastic wrap and refrigerate.
- Slice into approximately 1/4-inch thick
rounds. Place on cookie sheet about 1 1/2-inches apart.
- Bake on lower level of a 375*F (190*C)
oven for 10 minutes and then transfer to the upper level for
10 minutes.
Makes 20 to 30 cookies.
