This is an ideal fall dessert.

French Apple Chutney Tart

Pastry for single crust pie
5 cups (5 medium) tart green apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
1
(8.5-ounce) jar CROSSE & BLACKWELL® Apple Curry Chutney
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup butter or margarine, chilled
Vanilla ice cream
  1. Preheat oven to 375*F (190*C).
  2. Line 9-inch tart pan with removable bottom with pastry; trim away excess pastry. Arrange apples in pastry shell; spoon chutney over apples.
  3. Combine flour, sugar and cinnamon in medium bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender or two knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle mixture over filling.
  4. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until apples are tender when pierced with a sharp knife. Remove rim of pan. Serve warm with ice cream.

Makes 8 servings.
