Marble Cheesecake
With lovely swirls of chocolate in a vanilla cheesecake, this impressive dessert looks way more difficult to make than it actually is.
Recipe Ingredients:
Crust:
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
Filling:
3 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 large eggs
1 (1-ounce) square baking chocolate, melted
Cooking Directions:
- For Crust: Combine graham cracker crumbs, 3 tablespoons sugar, and butter; press onto the bottom of a 9-inch springform cake pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes.
- For Filling: In a bowl, combine cream cheese, 3/4 cup sugar, and vanilla; beating at medium speed with an electric mixer until well blended. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Blend melted baking chocolate into 1 cup of the batter. Spoon the batters alternately over crust; cutting through with a knife to create a marbling effect.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 450°F (230°C) for 10 minutes. Reduce the temperature to 250°F (120°C) and continue baking for 30 minutes. Loosen the cake from the rim of the pan; cool before removing from the pan. Chill.
