A light refreshing treat for a hot summer day. Luscious strawberry flavor in every bite.

Strawberry Sorbet

1 (10-ounce) package frozen sliced California Strawberries in syrup, thawed
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/4 cup orange-flavored liqueur
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  1. In small saucepan combine strawberries, water and sugar. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Cool to room temperature.
  2. In blender or food processor fitted with metal blade combine strawberry mixture, liqueur and lemon juice; blend until smooth.
  3. Pour into shallow pan; freeze until firm about 1-inch around edges. Beat smooth. Return to freezer, freeze firm.

Makes about 1 1/2 cups.
