Chocolate Peanut Butter "Shake"
This diabetic-friendly recipe, when compared to a full-fat, full-sugar version represents a 42% reduction in total calories, a 62% reduction in fat, a 8% reduction in total carbohydrates and a 50% reduction in sugars.
Recipe Ingredients:
2/3 cup sliced ripe banana
4 packets Splenda® No Calorie Sweetener
1/2 cup fat-free sour cream
3 tablespoons reduced-fat peanut butter
2 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon imitation banana extract (optional)
1 cup ice cubes
Cooking Directions:
- Place sliced bananas on a plate and freeze for 10 minutes or until slightly firm.
- Combine all the ingredients in the jar of a blender. Blend on medium speed until smooth.
- Pour into glasses and enjoy.
