Spicy Aioli:
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/2 tablespoon Dijon mustard
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tablespoon lemon zest
1 tablespoon hot sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
Mini Burgers:
1 (10-count) package refrigerated biscuits
1 pound ground sirloin
1 medium shallot, minced (about 2 tablespoons)
1 1/2 tablespoons hot sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 medium egg
5 slices pepper Jack or Monterey Jack cheese, halved
30 sliced sweet pickles
1 (28-ounce) can BUSH'S® Homestyle Baked Beans
Cooking Directions:
- Prepare biscuits according to package directions. Allow to cool for 5 to 10 minutes and then slice in half.
- Combine spicy aioli ingredients in small bowl, mixing thoroughly until all ingredients are incorporated. Set aside.
- Mix shallot, hot sauce, garlic powder and egg well into ground sirloin. Take approximately 4 tablespoons of the mixture and shape into 10 small, flat patties.
- Cook the small patties on hot grill (500 to 600°F | 250 to 300°C) until done to your taste, about 2 to 3 minutes. Serve each patty on sliced biscuit with a dollop of spicy aioli, 3 sliced sweet pickles and half slice of cheese
- Serve 2 to 3 mini burgers per person with a generous portion of Homestyle Baked Beans.
Makes 5 (2 biscuit burger) servings.
