Cheese Truffles
These tasty miniature cheese balls, rolled in finely chopped nuts, sesame seeds and/or chopped fresh parsley are sure to be a big hit at your next party.
Recipe Ingredients:
Truffles:
2 (8-ounce each) packages cream cheese, softened
2 cups (8 ounces) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup chopped roasted red peppers
1/4 cup chopped green onions
Coatings:
Finely chopped nuts, toasted
Sesame seeds, toasted
Chopped fresh parsley
Cooking Directions:
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, shredded cheese, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce and salt until well blended. Divide in half.
- Add roasted red peppers to one half and green onions to the other half; mix each until well blended. Cover. Refrigerate several hours or until chilled.
- Shape each cheese mixture into 1-inch balls. Roll in desired coatings. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Makes 24 servings.
