Graham Cracker Pie Crust
A homemade graham cracker crust tastes so much better than a store-bought one—and making one is quick and easy.
Recipe Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs, or 11 (double-sectioned) graham crackers, finely crushed
1/4 cup granulated sugar
6 tablespoons butter, melted
Cooking Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and sugar; add the melted butter and mix well.
- Carefully press crumb mixture firmly onto the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie plate (using the back of a spoon makes this process easier).
- Bake for 10 minutes.
- Cool completely before filling.
Makes 1 (9-inch) pie crust; 8 servings.
Flavor Variation: To make a cinnamon graham cracker crust, add 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
