A Kool-factaid: The forerunner to KOOL-AID® was Fruit Smack, which was sold via mail order in the 1920s in six flavors: Grape, Cherry, Raspberry, Orange, Root Beer, and Lemon.

Kool-Aid® Pie

1 package of unsweetened Kool-Aid® powdered drink mix, any flavor
1 (14 1/2-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (8-ounce) container of non-dairy whipped topping, thawed
1 (8 to 9-inch) prepared graham cracker crust

Note: For best flavor and texture, plan on chilling this pie for several hours or overnight before serving.

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat Kool-Aid® powdered drink mix and sweetened condensed milk together until thoroughly blended.
  2. Gently fold in the whipped topping.
  3. Pour mixture into the prepared graham cracker crust. Chill until set.

Makes 6 to 8 servings.

Kool-Aid® is a North American Brand product from Kraft Foods.
