No-Roll Pie Crust
Quickest and easiest pastry pie crust you'll ever make. Just mix and press the dough into a pie plate—no rolling required! It is best used pre-baked with pudding, cream, cooked and fresh fruit fillings, but may be used unbaked, as well.
Recipe Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup ice-cold water
1/2 teaspoon kosher or sea salt
Cooking Directions:
- Combine all ingredients together in a bowl. Press* dough mixture evenly onto the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie plate.
- Fill with favorite pie filling and bake according to recipe directions.
- For Baked Crust: Once the dough is pressed into pie plate, use a fork to prick bottom and sides of crust. Bake in a preheated 425°F (220°C) oven for about 18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown (do not under-bake). Cool completely before filling.
Makes 1 (9-inch) pie crust or 8 servings.
*Tip: Place a sheet of plastic wrap over dough mixture and use the back of a metal spoon to press dough into pie plate.
