Have plenty of napkins on hand when you
tackle these addictive, sticky ribs. Rich coffee, mustard and
molasses combine to form an irresistible glaze that will have
you licking your fingers and going back for seconds. Serve with
cool coleslaw and warm cornbread.
Spareribs
with Coffee Barbecue Sauce
- 7 pounds spareribs, parboiled
1 cup prepared TASTER'S CHOICE® 100% Pure Instant Coffee,
made very strong
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup molasses
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
5 drops hot pepper sauce
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Combine coffee, vinegar,
molasses, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic and hot pepper
sauce in small saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to low.
Cook for 5 minutes. Place ribs in shallow roasting pan; coat
all sides with sauce.
- Bake uncovered for 55
to 60 minutes or until tender. Baste often with remaining sauce.
