Country-style ribs become very tender when cooked slowly at a low temperature. Raise the heat towards end of cooking time to brown them nicely. Serve with hot cooked rice seasoned with cumin seed and a cucumber salad.

Teriyaki-Orange Country-Style Pork Ribs

2 pounds country-style ribs
1/2 cup teriyaki marinade
1/3 cup orange marmalade
  1. Heat oven to 300 degrees F.
  2. In large bowl stir together marinade and marmalade; add ribs and toss to coat thoroughly; pour ribs and marinade into a large roasting pan, sprayed with vegetable cooking spray. Cover well with foil and bake for 2 1/2 hours, until ribs are tender.
  3. Raise oven temperature to 425 degrees F., uncover ribs and roast for 30 minutes to brown, watching to make sure they are not browning too quickly.

Serves 4.

Wine suggestion: Pour a chilled Gewurztraminer, a Viognier or a Chenin Blanc.
