Make-Your-Own Fruit Salad
An ideal salad for buffet parties, guests build their own fruit and cheese salads from an assortment of fresh fruits and cheeses decoratively arranged in 'lettuce cups' on a platter.
Recipe Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups French dressing
1/4 cup finely chopped walnuts, toasted
1 cup banana chunks
1 cup kiwi slices
Boston lettuce leaves
2 cups assorted melon balls
2 cups pineapple chunks
2 cups peach slices
2 cups small grape clusters
2 cups strawberries
6 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, cubed
6 ounces brick cheese, cubed
Cooking Directions:
- Combine dressing and walnuts; mix well. Chill.
- Combine banana and kiwi.
- Arrange lettuce on platter to form cup and fill each with fruit and cheese.
- Serve with dressing mixture.
