Forget boring mayonnaise-based slaw. This flavored-packed side dish uses a fresh and surprising dressing in a colorful mix of vegetables.

Super Bowl Slaw

6 cups thinly sliced green cabbage
3 cups thinly sliced red cabbage
2 large red or yellow bell peppers, seeded and thinly sliced
4 medium carrots, peeled and shredded
8 green onions, thinly sliced
1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley

Dressing:
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup orange juice
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 minced garlic cloves
  1. Combine slaw ingredients in large bowl; toss well.
  2. In small bowl whisk together Dressing ingredients; toss with slaw. Season with salt and pepper and serve.

Makes 12 servings.
