Super Bowl Slaw
Forget boring mayonnaise-based slaw. This flavor-packed super bowl of slaw offers a colorful mix of vegetables in a unique and surprisingly good dressing that offers an infusion of Asian and Southwestern flavors.
Recipe Ingredients:
Slaw:
6 cups thinly sliced green cabbage
3 cups thinly sliced red cabbage
2 large red or yellow bell peppers, seeded and thinly sliced
4 medium carrots, peeled and shredded
8 green onions, thinly sliced
1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
Dressing:
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup orange juice
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 minced garlic cloves
Cooking Directions:
- For Slaw: Combine slaw ingredients in large bowl; toss well.
- For Dressing: In small bowl whisk together Dressing ingredients; toss with slaw. Season with salt and pepper and serve.
