A quick and elegant sandwich for entertaining
unexpected guests!
Grilled Ham,
Pear and Chutney Sandwiches
- 1 (9-ounce) jar Major
Grey's Chutney
6 slices sourdough bread
4 ounces Swiss cheese, thinly sliced
4 ounces Black Forest ham, thinly sliced
1 medium pear, sliced
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
- Spread chutney evenly
over bread. Top 3 slices of bread evenly with cheese, ham and
pear; top with remaining bread slices. Brush both sides of sandwiches
with butter.
- Heat large skillet over
medium heat. Grill sandwiches on each side for 2 to 3 minutes
or until golden brown.
Makes 3 servings.
