Onion 'N Pepper Beef Steak Sandwich

1/2 pound beef round tip steaks, cut 1/8 to 1/4-inch thick
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1 small onion, cut into thin wedges
1 jalapeno pepper, sliced
1 small clove garlic, minced
2 Kaiser rolls, split
1/4 cup chopped tomato
  1. Heat oil in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Add onion, jalapeno pepper and garlic; cook and stir 3 to 4 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove.
  2. Heat same skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Place beef steaks in skillet; cook 1 to 2 minutes, turning once. Do not overcook. Season with salt. Serve in rolls with onion mixture and tomato.

Makes 2 servings.
