The use of butter flavoring
keeps this basting sauce fat-free. Use it on chicken, ribs or
even hamburger patties for extra flavor.
No-Fat Barbecue
Sauce
- 1/2 cup tomato ketchup
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup white distilled vinegar
1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon butter flavoring
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon crushed garlic
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Combine ketchup, Worcestershire
sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, butter flavoring, paprika, garlic,
salt and pepper in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring
constantly; reduce heat and simmer for 3 minutes. Refrigerate
until used.
Makes about 1 cup.
