A perfect fit for summer grilling. This classic sauce with a spicy flare is a flavorful addition to grilled pork.

Rockets Red Glare Barbecue Sauce

2 (12-ounce) bottles chili sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/3 cup ketchup
1/3 cup cider vinegar
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoons sherry
2 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  1. Stir together all ingredients in medium saucepan; bring to a boil and lower heat to just a simmer. Simmer for 20 minutes; stirring occasionally, until mixture is thickened and flavors are nicely blended.
  2. Remove to medium bowl or quart-sized jar, cool slightly, cover and refrigerate until serving.

Makes 4 cups.
