Baked Italian-Style Catfish
Crispy oven-baked catfish fillets coated with a mixture of Italian-seasoned bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese.
Recipe Ingredients:
8 U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish Fillets
1 cup bread crumbs or Panko
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
3/4 cup fresh Italian parsley, chopped
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
Lemon wedges
Parsley sprigs
Cooking Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly coat a 13x9x2-inch baking pan with cooking spray.
- Combine dry ingredients in a shallow bowl and stir well.
- Pat fish dry.
- Dip catfish in melted butter and roll in bread crumb mixture.
- Arrange fillets in prepared baking dish.
- Bake uncovered for 20 to 30 minutes or until fish flakes easily.
- Garnish with lemon wedges and parsley sprigs.
