Give new life to plain green beans with a spicy dressing of salsa and chiles. A great side-dish for any Mexican dinner.

Ortega-Style Green Beans

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2 (9-ounce) packages frozen green beans
1 (8-ounce) jar ORTEGA Taco Sauce - Medium
1 (4-ounce) can ORTEGA® Diced Green Chiles
1/2 teaspoon salt
  1. Heat vegetable oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic; cook, stirring occasionally, for 1 to 2 minutes.
  2. Add beans, taco sauce, chiles and salt. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cover. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 to 12 minutes or until beans are tender.

Makes 6 servings.
