This hearty soup takes very little time to put together. Warm up the family after a day outside.

Lean Pork Chili

1 1/2 pounds boneless pork loin, coarsely ground
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
2 minced garlic cloves
1 cup diced onion
1/2 green bell pepper, diced
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 (14 1/2-ounce) cans diced tomatoes, undrained
1 (15-ounce) can kidney or pinto beans, drained and rinsed
  1. Heat oil in 4-quart saucepan over medium high heat. Saute pork, garlic, onion and green pepper for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Stir in seasonings, tomatoes and beans. Bring to a boil, lower heat and simmer 10 minutes.
