Taco Beef
Soup
1/2 pound ground beef
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 (16-ounce) can whole tomatoes
1 (8-ounce) can kidney beans
1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
1 packet taco seasoning mix
1 1/2 cups water
1 avocado, peeled, pitted and chopped for accompaniment
Shredded cheddar cheese for accompaniment
- Brown ground beef and chopped onion in
a saucepan, stirring frequently; drain.
- Add whole tomatoes, kidney beans, tomato
sauce, taco seasoning mix, and water. Bring to a simmer, covered,
over medium heat and cook for 4 minutes. Serve with chopped avocado
and shredded cheddar cheese.
Makes 6 servings.
