A simple beer-based marinade gives these grilled pork chops something to brag about.
Beer-Grilled Chops
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar, firmly packed
2 teaspoons grated ginger root (or 1 teaspoon ground ginger)
1 cup beer- 4 boneless pork chops, about 3/4-inch thick
- Place all ingredients, expect pork chops, in a self-sealing plastic bag; tightly seal and shake to mix well. Add the pork chops to marinade, seal well and place in a 9x13-inch pan. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight, occasionally turning bag over.
- Heat gas grill on medium or charcoal grill until coals are ash white.
- Remove chops from marinade and discard marinade; place on grill directly over coals, cover grill and grill for 10 minutes or until done, turning once.
Makes 4 servings.
Cook's Note: Bone-in chops work just as nicely, too!
