Making your own guacamole is quick and easy!
3 plum tomatoes, peeled, seeded and finely chopped
1/4 cup red onion, minced
1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
2 avocados, halved with pits removed
Salt and ground black pepper, to taste
- Add the tomatoes, red onion, jalapeño, cilantro, and juice from the lime, to a medium sized bowl.
- Scoop the avocado meat out and add to the bowl. Coarsely blend the mixture with a potato masher.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper and serve.
Makes about 2 1/2 to 3 cups.
